Binge Eating

Binge eating is a form of eating disorder which is characterised by people who eat large volumes of food in a very short time even though they know that they are not hungry. Sometimes the food which is eaten has been especially bought for the binge whilst as other times the person will eat large amounts of whatever is available to them at that time. Generally these food binges will take place in secret and the person involved will feel out of control around the food. When the binge has ended they then feel upset, ashamed and disgusted by their behaviour. In an attempt to alleviate the damage they are doing they will often cut back on their food intake or cut out certain food groups but find they are unable to sustain this in the long term and binge again. Hypnotherapy for binge eating works by helping you to take back control so that the episodes are reduced and then eliminated.
